Monica Machado, English to Portuguese Translator, obtains associate membership with ATA, the American Translators Association

Monica Machado obtained associate membership with ATA, the American Translators Association, early 2017.

“ATA is a professional association founded to advance the translation and interpreting professions and foster the professional development of individual translators and interpreters. Its over 10,000 members in more than more than 100 countries include translators, interpreters, teachers, project managers, web and software developers, language company owners, hospitals, universities, and government agencies. Association membership is available to individuals (Active, Corresponding, Associate, Student) and organizations (Corporate, Institutional).” from ATA.

This associate membership is part of Monica’s efforts to reach professional recognition around the World but also to continue to be up-to-date about the industry.

“As an English to Portuguese Translator, ATA membership is a plus to my career and by being an Associate member I intend to reach a further clientele but also to contribute to the profession by sharing my experience.”, Monica Machado said.
