The Future-proofing the profession: equipping the next generation of translators – part 2

This weekend Monica Machado visited the London Language Show and participated on the panel session “The Future-proofing the profession: equipping the next generation of translators – part 2”. This panel session was jointly organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Translation, the Chartered Institute of Linguists and the Institute of Translation and Interpreting to present and discuss the results of the survey on translator training launched following Part 1 held in July, examining whether translators are being trained to meet the challenges facing the profession. This session forms part of the series of Translating Europe workshops organised by DG Translation across the EU and was well participated by both experienced professionals and new translators.
