In translation agencies, quality checking is a final stage that takes place just before a job is delivered to the client. Usually, a set percentage of the whole job is rechecked against the original and the results of such check determine if the translation is adequate or not. In case of a fail, the whole job will have to be proofread once again. This stage is an extra quality assurance that complements proofreading and is used by many translation agencies.
