LATEST TECHNICAL TRANSLATION NEWSLETTER
Our latest newsletter is now available. This 19th issue focuses on the risks on not getting a professional translator, the difference between a translator and an interpreter and the meaning of source and target languages. There is also a report on COVID-19 vaccination in Angola together with different news from the office, such as Mónica Machado’s ICO registration and CPD record and our new line of business over the past quarter associated with Brexit and COVID‑19. We end this issue with reading and cooking suggestions, and hope you will indulge yourself with this issue’s Scottish Tablet.

Our Translation Services Newsletter aims at keeping in touch with clients and the industry by providing information on different translation issues. It is intended to be informative but also light-hearted. There will be opinion articles, interviews, news about recently launched or tried software and recent CPD carried out, or other technical or translation resources. I will be explaining translation terms translators and translation agencies use but which may mean very little to the client or an outsider. The Recent Project section will be used to illustrate recent areas of work. But there will be a funny side as well. This could be a mistranslation found in the media, a misconception about Portugal, Portuguese-speaking countries or the UK or simply an interesting language subject. All past issues are available for reading online. If you would like to see different subjects discussed or have any feedback please get in touch.
