LATEST TECHNICAL TRANSLATION NEWSLETTER NOW AVAILABLE
Our latest newsletter is now available. This 18th issue focuses on the challenges and rewards of providing Portuguese technical translation, by translating documentation on social sciences and international humanitarian aid and providing website localisation services. Mónica Machado also talks about translating for an interesting hydropower project in Angola and providing language tuition for those learning Portuguese as a second language. There are also a couple of small articles about current special rates, interesting reading and the launch of our website in Portuguese. To finalise this newsletter, we decode the term website localisation and Mónica shares a gluten-free raisin biscuits recipe. We hope you enjoy reading this newsletter and look forward to hearing from you.

Our Translation Services Newsletter aims at keeping in touch with clients and the industry by providing information on different translation issues. It is intended to be informative but also light-hearted. There will be opinion articles, interviews, news about recently launched or tried software and recent CPD carried out, or other technical or translation resources. I will be explaining translation terms translators and translation agencies use but which may mean very little to the client or an outsider. The Recent Project section will be used to illustrate recent areas of work. But there will be a funny side as well. This could be a mistranslation found in the media, a misconception about Portugal, Portuguese-speaking countries or the UK or simply an interesting language subject. All past issues are available for reading online. If you would like to see different subjects discussed or have any feedback please get in touch.
