The translation process usually starts with an e-mail from a client requesting information about services and rates. The steps that follow this are listed below:
Step 1: Quote, with respective negotiation of rates and deadlines.
Step 2: Quote approval and issue of Purchase Order (PO) by client.
Step 3: Translation of documents.
Step 4: Query resolution process.
Step 5: Proofreading of the translated text.
Step 6: Quality assurance checks.
Step 7: Delivery of the finished translation.
During the query resolution, proofreading and quality check stages, unclear text, unclear meanings, misplaced references, missing pictures, graphics or maps, or inconsistencies in original are queried with client and rectified.
After delivery, the translation memory is updated and the invoice is issued.
